The cruise takes well-behaved, leashed canines and their adult humans on a tour of both
the river and lakefront. The commentary includes both historical anecdotes about dogs in Chicago as well as information about various dog-friendly locations in the city that was recognized as one of the countrys most dog-friendly cities by dogfriendly.com

On-board amenities include large bowls of fresh water and a newspaper-lined restroom. Seats are available for medium and large dogs, while the smaller breeds enjoy the comfort of their owners’ laps. Tickets are $6.00 for each dog; $9 for each child (under 3 years are free) and $20 for adults. Tickets for the Canine Cruise are available at the Mercury ticket window beginning at 8:30 am each Sunday morning. No individual advance reservations are necessary.
